Over the last 3 years DCG has been offering a solution to our clients that allows them to work remotely (or in the office, but work remotely on our servers). This allows our clients to have absolutely everything that they need to manage and run their business, all of their necessary applications, but none of the overhead associated with the maintenance and upkeeps of the equipment. The client does not have to purchase any server equipment. Only a broadband local internet connection is required. All employees start up their computers or dumb terminals, connect to our remote servers and work just as if they had their server in the next office. Everything is working and managed in our collocation center.
This setup requires an initial setup fee of about 2500$ - server's setup, exchange server setup, email, web site, custom applications setup, licensing for all users, remote access setup, VPN setup, training, etc.. - and a monthly service agreement starting at 550$ (up to 3 employees), 1000$ (up to 5 employees), and up.
