Data Consulting Group is local to the Charlotte, NC area. It has been in business for over 10 years and specializes in onsite and remote computer services and support for business clients. We service over 100 local customers, most of them between 10 and 30 employees (workstations). We do however manage customers with over 250 workstations as well. The company provides complete solutions - meaning we take care of everything that is computer/internet related - Email, web site, firewalls, network, servers, workstations, operating systems, custom software, backups, monitoring, service, upgrades, support, printers, VPNs, etc. We have established a system that we have implemented in all of our client's environments. We setup the environment the same at all clients, so when something goes wrong, we know very quickly where to look for the problem and how to fix it; and if possible, immediately do preventive maintenance on all of our other clients, so this problem does not occur there as well.

When clients first contact us, we do a complete infrastructure overview of their current setup. We identify what the client needs before we can take over the service and support responsibilities. For example, if the client does not have backup solutions, we recommend the hardware and software that we know best and use with other clients. If the client does not utilize Posting (Google) for spam and virus control, we recommend it. The end result is that we provide absolutely everything to the client and when we are done with the initial setup, the client's environment is brought up to our standards. The initial cost varies since some clients don't need much help, others need new servers for example, other might need a new backup solution. Once the initial setup is completed, we switch to maintenance/support mode. We send technicians onsite at least once every other week (sometimes 2 times a week) and through our remote access to the client's network, we provide remote support for the employees.
